Static capacity or “floor capacity” is the maximum weight a pallet can support while on the floor. Typically, the static capacity is important when stacking loaded pallets on top of each other in a warehouse or truck. The dynamic capacity or “fork load” is the maximum weight a pallet can support when lifted by a hand truck or fork lift.
Recycled Polypropylene (PP) and High Density Polyethylene are great materials for producing pallets for multi-trip or single use. They are suitable for freezer use and are great sustainable option since they are often made with 100% recycled material and are 100% recyclable! Pallets made with virgin High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) are also FDA approved!. ACM/PO is a mix of different recycled material that is less impact resistant and not suitable for freezer or wet environments. It is best used only for one-time use pallets.
